CITY TRAIL:
The city tour of "De Invasie van Gent" (The Invasion of Ghent) shows the work of our warriors spread all over the city center from March 18 till April 1. A map of the city trail is available by clicking here.Wherever work of a warrior is shown a printed version of the map is available.

LECTURES:
Throughout the whole weekend there's the opportunity to take part in lectures. Hans Robertus for example (founder of Dutch Design Week) talks about the success of DDW, young designers and the battle they fight. Sunday, April 1 Trui Moerkerke and Jan Seurinck (Flanders DC) introduce you to the world of creative communication. Also ILIV.be joins our battle on Sunday by talking about the role of design, interior design en young designers.

School of Arts Ghent EXPO:
Also School of Arts Ghent presents you its troops. STAM (City Museum Ghent) shows "Beyond Green", sustainable fashion design silhouettes made by fashion design students.

Students of graphic design, webdesign, fashion design, textile design, interior design, landscape and garden design will show their work scattered all over the School of Arts.
With Music Please the Royal Conservatory surprises you with music on several places.
And when you feel like you have it in you to become a model you have the possibility to participate in a casting for Movement, the annual event organized by the school's fashion department.

BLACK LOUNGE:
Along with Quinze & Milan we are literally making the "Black Hall" black.  The Black Lounge is a place to catch your breath within the battlefield of "De Invasie van Gent". In association with Knack Weekend we introduce "Black Items" of young known en unknown designers.

COFFEELAB:
The Black Lounge is also provided with a Coffeelab: a lab where the country's best baristas experiment with coffee: espresso, Slow Coffee or Turkaffe(Norwegian "Hiking Coffee"), they're all prepared especially for you. 

GHENT'S FACES:
In the Black Lounge a few of Ghent's famous and well-known faces can be discovered (Daniël Termont, An Pierlé, Ben van Alboom, Mathias De Clercq, Lien De Greef, Luc De Vos,...) They all stood in front of Ghent's young photographer Jan Cnudde his lens.

FORMER WARRIORS:
The girls of Black Balloon transform their Invasie van Gent into a party. As the first veterans of De Invasie they take over a whole zone with their selection of warriors, young photographers, stylists, interior designers, graphic designers and filmmakers De Invasie van Gent becomes a rock’n’roll party in nouveau chic style.

MARCH DESIGN MONTH:
More than 20 organizations (and counting) join their forces to give Ghent the name of Design city. March Design Month announces itself as THE month of the year.
De Invasie van Gent is, together with School of Arts Ghent, Stof-e-ring, DesignMarkt and MyFashionBlog one of the valiant initiators of the first edition.

PERFORMANCE:
Also this time, Strook, graphic artist that went around the world with his reverse art at STUK Leuven will put his stamp on De Invasie van Gent. A copy will be made of Ghent’s famous neighborhood with whores known in Dutch as “Het glazen straatje” .
During the whole event you will see his drawing increase day by day. 

BERESTERK:
The warriors are also going to war with Beresterk. Original Eskimo & Herschel will be pimped and sold at De Invasie van Gent. The army is at its strongest!

THE NEWSPAPER:
You can read every detail of our battle in THE newspaper of De Invasie. A newspaper can be asked by sending an e-mail to robot@deinvasie.be or in the city center (available in participating stores)

URBAN CRAFTS:
Urban Crafts made a selection and presents its selection of designers. A few warriors of De Invasie as Atelier Belge, Strook and Interror will join them. They join De Invasie van Gent strengthened and supported by Palm (Belgian beer).

KASK GARDEN:
The Kask Garden is a place where you enjoy the togetherness where only Extremis has a license to.
